1. Choose a travel route wisely

Mingle with the local population of one billion may be too dense for tourists, but India also has many quiet retreat. If you need to escape from the urban crowd, consider heading south to Kerala or to the mountainous regions such as Ladakh.

4. Stay healthy

Avoid tap water, and any food that may have been washed from the faucet. Do not also eat ice, salads and fruits are not you carry yourself. If you eat meat, make sure it is cooked properly. If in doubt, eat at a place that you look clean.

5. Stay calm

India is famous for fraud, yet there are various ways to reduce the possibility of paying more or deceived, but there is no way to avoid it. To deal with it, you need to stay calm and not easily emotional. This way you can deal with problems with a cool head.

T+L Awards Bangkok as Best City in the World

Travel +Leisure (T+L) magazine awarded Bangkok as the best city in the world.
Bangkok officials are really honored and inspired about the award the city have received from T+L magazine. It made the place as one of the top city in the world.
According to the survey result, Bangkok was awarded as a top Best Cities, conducted by T+L.  The poll took place with the help of the readers and their casted votes from December up to March 2010.
Readers rate their favorite, hotels, islands, airlines and cities and other categories. Around 16,000 readers participated in the poll. The results were in the August issue of T+L magazine.
Last week, Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra visited New York to accept the award given by the magazine and its publishers.
In his visit, he met the New York’s mayor and asked for an advice how his city survived after 9-11 attack.
Recently, there are some riots occurred in the area and sent their tourists to pack their things and flee. Despite of this, the city was given another opportunity to boost their city’s morale.
In a news conference, Bangkok Governor said that the award given to their city enhanced their spirits to make their city a better place for the tourists.
He appealed to all political activists to act naturally and behave, to keep their city in peaceful and in tranquil situation for the sake of their country.
According to him, people need not to damage their city much further, the people and the government needed to avoid clashes between two opposing groups, to retain tranquility in their country. He added that, what they have in their hands was very precious. They only need to develop and to take good care of it.
